American Federation for Aging Research (AFAR) Grants for Junior Faculty (LOI due) – support early career faculty (MDs and PhDs who are untenured and within 10 years of postdoctoral research training) to conduct research that will serve as the basis for longer term research efforts on the biology of aging. ($150k/1-2 years)

American Philosophical Society’s Franklin Research Grants – This program is particularly designed to help meet the costs of travel to libraries and archives for research purposes; the purchase of microfilm, photocopies, or equivalent research materials; the costs associated with fieldwork; or laboratory research expenses. ($60k/6-12 months)

Autism Science Foundation-Invites applications for its Pre- and Postdoctoral Training Awards from graduate students, medical students and postdoctoral fellows interested in pursuing careers in basic and clinical research relevant to autism spectrum disorders. ($35k-$50k/1 year)

Newhouse Center at Wellesley College – The Suzy Newhouse Center fellows’ community consists of Wellesley faculty on sabbatical, Wellesley summer fellows, the undergraduate fellows of the Mellon Mays program, and normally three or four scholars and artists from outside the college.
